Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data W3Match processes, why it is processed, and what rights users have.
Quick note
This page is written in plain English to explain how W3Match works today. If we add paid plans, new login methods, analytics, or other major features later, this page will be updated.
- We process data needed to run accounts, profiles, messaging, and AI recommendations.
- Some profile data may be public, while other data stays internal.
- You can manage visibility, export your data, and delete your account.
- If the product later adds optional analytics or advertising tools, this page will be updated first.
This Privacy Policy explains how W3Match processes personal data in connection with the platform.
1. Data Controller
At this stage of the project, W3Match is operated by Pawnie.
Public contact channel: x.com/pawnie_
2. Data We May Process
- account and authentication data,
- profile data you provide or import,
- private messaging data,
- recommendation and AI-related signals,
- technical, security, and operational logs,
- complaint, report, export, and deletion-request data.
3. Sources Of Data
- directly from you,
- from login providers such as X,
- from your activity within the platform,
- and from technical or security systems used to operate and protect W3Match.
4. Why We Process Data
- to create and maintain accounts,
- to provide profile, discovery, and networking features,
- to generate AI-assisted recommendations and matching suggestions,
- to support private in-platform messaging,
- to maintain security and prevent abuse,
- to handle complaints, reports, legal requests, and claims,
- and to operate, improve, and protect the platform.
5. Legal Bases
Depending on the processing activity, W3Match may rely on:
- performance of the service requested by the user,
- your consent where consent is the appropriate legal basis,
- the operator’s legitimate interest in operating, improving, and securing W3Match,
- and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Profiling And AI Matching
W3Match may use automated systems and AI-assisted tools to analyze profile-related information in order to generate recommendations, explanations, and matching suggestions. This may qualify as profiling under applicable data protection law.
In the current W3Match model, this processing is intended to support user decision-making. The user decides whether to contact another person, continue a conversation, or act on the recommendation.
7. Public Data And Private Data
Some information may be visible publicly or to other users, depending on the platform structure and your settings. Other information is not intended to be public, including internal settings, certain recommendation-related signals, and private message content.
8. Login Providers
If you sign in using a third-party login provider such as X, that provider acts as a separate controller for its own part of the authentication flow. Once W3Match receives the data necessary to create or operate your account, W3Match processes that data as controller for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
9. Recipients Of Data
W3Match may share personal data with hosting, authentication, cloud, AI, email, analytics, and security providers actually used by the service, with competent authorities where required by law, and with other users where disclosure follows from your settings or use of the platform.
10. International Transfers
If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, W3Match will rely on an appropriate legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another mechanism recognized by applicable law.
11. Retention
W3Match keeps personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and then for any additional period required by law or reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, or legal claims.
12. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data,
- correct inaccurate data,
- delete your data,
- restrict processing,
- object to certain processing,
- receive a portable copy of eligible data,
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent,
- and lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
13. Export And Account Deletion
W3Match may provide tools or support processes for exporting account data, deleting an account, and adjusting privacy and visibility settings. Deletion of an account does not always mean that every related data point will be erased immediately if retention is still necessary for compliance, safety, abuse prevention, or legal defense.
14. Cookies And Similar Technologies
W3Match may use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the service, session handling, security, and delivery of features requested by the user.
If optional analytics, advertising, or similar technologies are introduced in the future, W3Match will update its consent layer and this Privacy Policy before those technologies are activated.
15. Security
W3Match uses reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, and users should also protect their own account access.
