How Our AI Works
This page explains, in plain language, how W3Match uses AI-assisted systems to generate recommendations and matching suggestions.
Quick note
This page is written in plain English to explain how W3Match works today. If we add paid plans, new login methods, analytics, or other major features later, this page will be updated.
- AI in W3Match helps with discovery, relevance, and explanation.
- It may analyze profile-related signals, but users should not assume it sees everything.
- AI suggestions are not guarantees of trust, fit, or business success.
- You still decide whether to contact, trust, or work with another user.
W3Match uses AI to help users discover more relevant people, projects, and collaboration opportunities. The goal is to support better discovery and clearer matching logic, not to make decisions for you.
1. Why W3Match Uses AI
AI in W3Match is intended to support:
- better discovery,
- more relevant introductions,
- clearer explanation of why a match may make sense,
- and more useful first contact between users.
2. What AI May Look At
Depending on the feature and your settings, AI in W3Match may analyze data such as:
- profile identity signals,
- bio and profile description,
- roles, tags, specialties, and interests,
- what you say you are looking for,
- what you say you offer,
- visibility and recommendation-related settings,
- and certain product signals used to improve recommendation quality.
3. What Users Should Not Assume AI Sees
Users should not assume that AI automatically sees everything they do on the platform. The actual live implementation determines what data is used in which feature.
4. How Matching Works
W3Match may use AI-assisted logic to compare profile data and detect potentially relevant relationships between users. The system may consider shared or complementary tags, profile context, overlap in interests, and matching needs or offers.
5. Profiling
In practical terms, profiling means that W3Match may automatically analyze profile-related information in order to personalize recommendation quality and improve matching relevance. In the current W3Match model, the platform does not make the final decision for you. You decide whether to ignore a recommendation, act on it, or start a conversation.
6. What AI Does Not Do
- It does not guarantee that a match is good.
- It does not guarantee that another user is trustworthy.
- It does not guarantee that a collaboration will succeed.
- It is not a legal, financial, or investment assessment.
- It does not make binding decisions on your behalf.
7. Why AI Outputs May Be Wrong
AI systems can be useful, but they can also be imperfect. The system may miss important context, overemphasize a small similarity, surface a profile that is not actually a good fit, or fail to identify a valuable connection.
8. Your Control
Depending on the available product controls, you may be able to:
- edit and improve your profile,
- limit the visibility of some information,
- manage participation in AI-related or visibility-related features,
- export your data,
- and delete your account.
9. Human Judgment Still Matters
Even when W3Match provides a recommendation or explanation, you remain responsible for deciding whether to initiate contact, whether to continue a conversation, and whether to trust or work with another person.
