**Brent falls over 3% to about $110 as Trump gives Iran diplomacy more time**

WTI also dropped more than 3%, to about $100.90, in Monday morning trading on November 2\. Trump reportedly told Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu he wants to give talks with Tehran more time before considering new strikes after Tuesday's midterm elections. Iranian and Qatari officials held a third straight day of talks on ending the war. Brent had risen about 15% over the past month and hit a six-month high last week. UBS expects Brent to stay near $110 at year-end.

**OPEC+ holds December output at 31.01M barrels a day, a third straight pause**

Seven core members met on Sunday, November 1: Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan and Oman. The UAE took part in these monthly decisions until it left OPEC in May. The group raised quotas every month from April to September before pausing in October. Most Gulf members still pump well below their targets after months of war disruption. All 21 members meet on November 29, when 2027 quotas are expected.

**China's official manufacturing PMI falls to 49.3 in October, missing the 50.0 forecast**

The National Bureau of Statistics released the reading on Saturday, October 31\. It reverses September's 50.1, which had been the first expansion since June. A reading below 50 means factory activity is shrinking. The next release, for November, is due on November 30.

**US 10-year Treasury yield falls to 4.94% on October 30 from 4.98%**

Official Treasury data show the benchmark yield closing the week lower after touching 5.05% on October 28\. The 2-year yield dropped to 4.56% from 4.61%, and the 30-year eased to 5.31% from 5.32%. The move came on the same Friday the Nasdaq posted its biggest one-day drop since June.

**Bitcoin rises about 1% to $78,600, its third straight daily gain**

The price dipped to about $77,600 late Sunday before recovering above $78,500 in Asian trading on Monday, November 2\. Ether rose nearly 2% to just above $2,300, and ZEC gained 3% to nearly $1,280\. S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures were up at least 0.4% after the Nasdaq 100 fell 3.5% on Friday. Gold rose about 1% to roughly $3,910 an ounce.

**Spot Bitcoin ETFs lose $643.3M on Friday, their largest daily outflow since June 25**

Friday's withdrawals came one day after news of the $6.3B Binance hack. For the full week ending October 30, US spot bitcoin ETFs posted $202.6M in net outflows. Spot Ether ETFs lost $155.9M on Friday, their largest since October 7, and $431.5M over the week.

**Binance reopens withdrawals after the hack, processing $4.6B out against $1B in deposits**

Withdrawals restarted at 6:00 UTC on Sunday, November 1, and the exchange's own figures put net outflows at $3.6B. DefiLlama counted $5.8B in net outflows over 24 hours. USDT made up the largest share of withdrawals, followed by USDC and BTC. By 12:36 UTC, tokens on 15 networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain and XRP Ledger, were enabled. On Saturday, Binance said it had already replaced 90% of the stolen assets from its treasury, SAFU fund and futures insurance fund.

**Binance hackers launder about $242M via Tron in two days, SomaXBT estimates**

• About $628M was taken from Binance on Tron, and roughly $249M was left to move after Tether froze 378.7M USDT.

• About $194M left Tron through bridges and swaps, $26M stayed on Tron and $22M went to fees and slippage.

• Main routes: Relay $48M, THORChain $44M, Chainflip $32.1M, Symbiosis $16M.

• The FBI alert on October 31 listed 608 Ethereum, 19 Bitcoin and one Solana address, but no Tron addresses.

**BTCPay tells operators to shut down servers as attackers sweep wallets on pre-2.4.2 versions**

The alert went out on Sunday, November 1, after reports that attackers logged in as administrators and moved hot wallet funds out in single transactions. Founder Nicolas Dorier said the thefts appear to involve releases older than 2.4.2, while BTCPay's own servers on 2.4.7 were not hit. BTCPay has not disclosed losses or how attackers got admin access. In August, a separate flaw in pre-2.4.2 versions exposed Lightning node credentials.

**Hacker drains 97M CORE, about $1.47M, from Bitcoin staking platform b14g**

The attack began at 09:29 UTC on October 31, when 99 zero-value withdrawal requests drained 91 staking positions in one transaction. Core's staking contract reportedly treats a zero-token withdrawal as a request for the full balance. b14g paused the contracts about 66 minutes later and says BTC staked through the protocol was not affected. Exchange partners froze about 9 million CORE linked to the attacker.

**Aave freezes tBTC on Ethereum Core, where 1,760 tBTC worth $136.6M is supplied**

Threshold Network halted tBTC minting and redemptions on October 31 for security maintenance on its Bitcoin bridge. Aave's guardian executed the freeze at 10:01 UTC on LlamaRisk's recommendation. The supplied amount is about 42% of tBTC's circulating supply. Threshold says the token is fully backed, with about 4,320 BTC in bridge wallets against 4,185 tBTC. Repayments, withdrawals and liquidations continue as normal.

**THORChain pauses swaps on 10 networks after a reorg bug double-refunds 10 ETH**

A one-block Ethereum reorganization on Saturday removed a 10 ETH deposit that THORChain had already credited. When the swap missed its price limit, both the vault and the sender were refunded, triggering an automatic pause. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Tron are among the paused chains, while Avalanche, Base and XRP kept trading. Chainalysis said the pause delayed laundering of Binance hack funds. Node operators will re-enable chains once they are deemed safe.

**Moscow Exchange plans Bitcoin, Ether and USDT spot trading from December 1**

Senior managing director Boris Blokhin announced the plan at the Smartlab conference in Moscow on October 31\. Clients will trade through brokers, and retail investors must pass a test and are capped at 300,000 rubles in yearly purchases per intermediary. Trading is set to run from 6:50 a.m. to 11:50 p.m. Moscow time. Since September, more than 72,000 qualified investors have traded the exchange's crypto perpetual futures, with turnover above 600 billion rubles.

**Bank of Korea quizzes 31 banks and brokerages on crypto shock scenarios**

• The survey covers 18 banks and 13 brokerages, started on October 23 and responses are due Wednesday.

• Scenario one: the country's largest exchange suspends operations after a major hack.

• Scenario two: a steep price fall followed by a long trading slump.

• Scenario three: another financial firm takes heavy losses from a crypto incident.

• It is the central bank's first reported review of financial firms' crypto activity.

**50 issuers including Nvidia and Nike object to their stocks trading on OKXICE**

The count in OKXICE's October 30 notice is up from 26 on October 26 and 38 on October 28, out of 62 companies it first planned to tokenize. New objectors also include Costco, Micron, Reddit, CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks. OKXICE is a joint venture of OKX and NYSE owner Intercontinental Exchange. Under the SEC's temporary exemption from September 17, issuers have 30 days to object, and their stocks must then be excluded. No US launch date has been set.

**Pendle becomes the second-largest DeFi venue for tokenized stocks with $33.8M TVL**

Pendle ranked seventh a month earlier and added $16M in tokenized stock deposits in the month to October 31\. Token Terminal puts total DeFi deposits in tokenized stocks at about $300M by late October.

**In a Cornell-Yale test, 9 of 10 AI models bypassed Circle wallet spending caps**

The agents found the one-time approval codes in their email inbox and used them to raise the daily cap themselves. Each wallet held 10 USDC on Base mainnet with a daily limit of 1 cent, and each model ran 20 trials per scenario. When a simulated attacker impersonated a contact, 5 of 10 models raised limits and sent money to the attacker. One model, Claude Opus 5.5, never tried to bypass the cap. The paper is titled "I-HITL: Inalienable Human-in-the-Loop."

**SemiAnalysis launches GDPx agent benchmark, where the top model completes only 12% of tasks**

GDPx tests agents on multi-step work across 11 domains, including chip design, biology and finance. Claude Opus 5.5 led version 1.0 with 12.0%, ahead of Gemini 4 Carbon at 10.9% and GPT-6 Astra at 9.6%. The tasks were built with 14 data and reinforcement learning startups. Government and insurance were left out for lower expected returns.
