The price readings are individual Coinbase Exchange last trades. The stablecoin figure is a provider-defined stock measure, not a session flow or a measure of trading liquidity.
What changed
The fresh Coinbase readings show a lower rolling 24-hour comparison for both assets. A single venue reading cannot establish why the move occurred or whether every market traded in the same way.
Solana's Alpenglow upgrade is now active on Mainnet Beta in epoch 1064. The change alters consensus mechanics and targets approximately 150-millisecond finality. The target is a design characteristic, not a realised performance reading. The relevant follow-up is independently timestamped mainnet finality and operator experience after activation.
Where activity and capital are moving
The DefiLlama stablecoin series rose from $303.43 billion to $303.80 billion across its two latest daily points. The $370.6 million increase is comparable only within the provider's USD-pegged category. It cannot identify which issuer added supply, whether that supply reached exchanges, or whether it reflects a net increase in risk-taking.
The useful interpretation is restrained: a modest increase in the stock of USD-pegged tokens occurred while prices were volatile. It is not evidence that stablecoin issuance caused the move, nor that additional supply became immediately available as market liquidity.
The signal to watch
The next useful signal is a consistent relationship between stablecoin supply, disclosed issuance and a named payment or tokenized-asset workflow. For price action, a fresh direct reading after the US session and an appropriately scoped comparison matter more than extending this morning's observation into a day-long conclusion.
What would change this view
This view would strengthen if the next daily stablecoin point confirms a sustained change and issuers disclose the mechanism behind it. It would weaken if the category change reverses or is explained by provider coverage. For Alpenglow, measured finality and application reliability after activation would add more than the announced target alone.
