W3Match × Web3Lists Extension Privacy Policy
Updated: 4 November 2026.
This policy describes the W3Match × Web3Lists Chrome extension, a collaboration between W3Match and Web3Lists, operated by Pawnie, administrator of Web3Lists. Contact: w3match@gmail.com.
What the extension stores
Saved list URLs, user-supplied list names, search queries for those lists, and the local catalog-unlock preference are stored in the browser using Chrome extension storage. They are not automatically synchronized with a Web3Lists or W3Match account. Removing the extension may remove this local data.
Information read when you choose a feature
When you request a bookmark import, the extension reads the Web3Lists list-bookmark entry from the Web3Lists website’s browser storage and merges valid list URLs into extension storage. The import may not include account bookmarks that have not yet synchronized to the page.
When you request a custom list name, the extension opens the list URL on X and attempts to read the list name from the page or its document title. X may require you to be signed in. The result is placed in the form for you to check. The extension does not automatically follow accounts or collect X analytics.
Sponsored content and external links
When the panel opens and while it remains visible, the extension requests the active sponsored-content feed and, where applicable, artwork from W3Match. Requests reach W3Match and its hosting provider, which may receive connection information such as IP address, request time and technical details. The ad request does not include your saved list contents or X account data. Selecting a sponsored link opens W3Match’s referral redirect; W3Match may record the referral slug and a source path for click measurement. The destination partner and X receive information according to their own policies when you visit them. Sponsored or referral content is identified in the interface.
Sharing and use
Web3Lists uses information accessed by the extension to provide its list-management features. It does not sell extension user data or use it to personalize advertisements. Service providers involved in hosting W3Match and Web3Lists may process connection information to provide and secure those services. Browser storage is managed by Chrome; use of X is governed by X’s own policies.
Web3Lists’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Choices and contact
You can remove saved lists in the extension, avoid the optional import and list-name lookup, and uninstall the extension. For privacy questions or requests, contact w3match@gmail.com. We may update this policy when the extension’s data practices change.
